    ACTIVITY – 8 (a)

    Write a story in about sixty words based on the following hints:

    An old farmer calls his lazy sons – asks them to dig up treasure stored in the field – sons dig up field but find no treasure – farmer asks them to sow seeds – a – rich harvest – sons- understand the value of hard work.

    Answer: Once there lived a farmer in a village. He was very hard working but he grew old and sick. He had three sons. The sons were strong and healthy. They did not work. They were verily. So the farmer was worried. One day an idea occurred to his mind. He called his sons. He told his son that he had treasure and asked them to dig up the treasure that was stored in the field. Then the sons decided to search for the treasure which their father had told them about. They took the farmer and dug their field hunting the treasure but they found nothing. Then the farmer asked them to sow seeds. After a month the old farmer’s son saw a rich harvest. The sons understood the value of hard work.

    ACTIVITY – 8 (b)

    Write a short paragraph in about sixty words describing your favourite season. Use the following hints:

    Name of the season – flowers and fruits – vegetables – festivals – why you enjoy it.

    Answer: Spring is my favourite season. It is a very charming season. During this season many kinds of flowers bloom. We get Fresh and juicy fruits in this season. We got a lot of fresh vegetables in this season. We celebrate some festivals like Holi & Charak puja and Basant puja in this season. The sky remains clear. I  enjoy this season very much.
