    My School Days | Class 5 | Lesson 5 | Activity Questions Answer | WBBPE

    “My School Days” is a lesson of the ”Butterfly” Textbook approved by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education for Class 5 Students. Here all the Activity Questions are done by English teachers.

    ACTIVITY – 1 

    Let’s answer the following question:

    1. To which school was the author admitted?

    Answer: The author admitted at Ballygunge High School.  

    2. What was the school hall used for?

    Answer: The school hall was used for the annual prize distribution ceremony.

    3. What was the name of the Shakespearean play that was performed in the hall?

     Answer: The name of the Shakespearean play that was performed in the hall was The Merchant of Venice.

    4. Name the two foreign actors mentioned by the author?

     Answer: Greenberg and Salim were the two foreign actors mentioned by the author.  

    ACTIVITY – 2

    Write “T” for the true and “F” for the false statements in the given boxes:

    ACTIVITY – 7

    Let’s answer the following questions: 

    1. How did B.D.Roy teach the pronunciation of ‘the’?

    Answer: B.D. Roy taught that the pronunciation of ‘the’ depends on whether the following word begins with a vowel or a consonant.

    2. How did the author get to be Ashubab’s favourite?

    Answer: The author became Ashubabu’s favourite because he could draw very well.

    3.What was ‘Music drawing’?

    Answer: ‘Music drawing’ was an event, where  a student would sing a song and another would draw a picture on the blackboard, trying to capture on the blackboard, trying to capture in lines and color the essence of the song.

    4. Why did everything seem much smaller to the author when he went back to the school after ten years?

    Answer: Everything seemed much smaller to the author because he was five feet three inches tall when he had left the school.

    5. What is ‘a pleasure’ according to the author?

    Answer: According to the author, a pleasure is to look back and relive the past moments of  joy.

    ACTIVITY – 8
